When I checked my stats at the first of May, I saw something really strange.

.arpa?!?

The old style Arpanet

.arpa, the old style Arpanet. Wasn't Arpanet the network that was the first step towards nowadays' internet? Yes it was and the full name for Arpanet was Advanced Research Projects Agency Network of the US Department of Defense. It all started in 1969.

Strange, isn't it, being visit by something from the past? It feels like Big Brother is watching me.

More information about Arpanet:

Update: According to a colleague of mine, this is nothing unussual. But has to do with a reverge DNS lookup. Thanks F. for the explenation.
